Probe deeper into Nube funds abuse
Perhaps the abuse warrants an investigation by the anti-corruption agency, police or director-general of trade unions. It is also time that we put a stop to the so-called majority rule abuses.
Perhaps the custodians of union funds should allow investigations to absolve themselves of these serious allegations. The council members should also be questioned.
As for the majority rule principle, does it mean that even if the majority are in the wrong, all wrongdoings would be regarded as just an internal matter? How can victims seek redress in such a case?
Is it right for a president to call for a vote on whether to conduct an investigation into the complaints when the charges are so serious? It should be the norm to conduct an inquiry or investigation when such serious complaints received.
I really hope that the union which has fought to protect the livelihood of its members will not allow itself to be shrouded by such allegations of shameful practices.
