The list of Barisan Nasional candidates to be fielded in Negri Sembilan in the 13th general election (GE13) has yet to be finalised, state BN chairperson Mohamad Hasan said.
He said the list was currently being screened by relevant agencies, such as the Insolvency Department and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), to ensure that the candidates were truly qualified and clean.
"The list contains some new names, some old names, some incumbents, but it has yet to be finalised," he said when met at the presentation of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) business tithe to Negri Sembilan Tithe Collection Centre in Seremban today.
He said when screening was completed, the list would be submitted to the party leadership to make the final decision on the winnable candidates.
Hence, he said all quarters must accept the list of BN candidates finalised by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as BN chairperson.
At the event, Mohamad, who is also Negri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council chairperson, received PNB's business tithe for the year 2009, 2010 and 2011 totalling RM3.5 million from PNB group president and chief executive officer Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman.
