Actress Sharifah Nadia Yusnita Abd Hanif pleaded not guilty at the magistrate’s court in Petaling Jaya today to a charge of causing hurt to her former husband last year.

Sharifah Nadia Yusnita, 32, was alleged to have causing hurt to her former husband, Lob Mahadir Abdul Syukur, a businessman, by scratching his arm while they were at Tan Sri Jeffrey Chia Hall, SK Chee Wen, USJ 1, Subang Jaya at about 10.30am on Nov 25, 2012.

The actress, who co-starred in the ‘Diari Romeo’ film, was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum jail term of one year or fine not exceeding RM2,000, or both, upon conviction.

Magistrate Mohd Hezri Shaharil fixed April 22 for mention.

Deputy public prosecutor Saphirra Selamat prosecuted, while Sharifah Nadia Yusnita was represented by lawyer Mohd Yusmadi Mohd Yusoff.

Lob Mahadir’s lawyer, MK Thas, was present as an observer.
