Police report lodged on Najib billboard defacement

Four individuals lodged a police report today on the defacement with red paint of billboards portraying Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Perak Menteri Besar Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir near Taman BG Perdana Batu in Batu Gajah, Perak, on Feb 9.

They represented the Umno Pusing division, Regrouping Area Lahat Perak community service centre, Taman Puncak Jelapang Maju, Ipoh, and Padu Batu Gajah of Taman Sri Wangsa divisions.
The report was made about 2.30pm at the Pusing police station.
Confirming the report in a statement today, Batu Gajah police chief ACP Shaharon Anuar Abdul Latif said: "The investigation will be carried out under Section 427 of the Penal Code, which carries up to two years in jail, or fine or both upon conviction."
A pair of gloves was discovered at the scene, Shaharon said.
Meanwhile, Pusing Umno Youth chief Mohd Khairuddin Mohd Suder said: "We strongly condemn this insolent act and urge the police to take action against the perpetrators."
