The Former Barisan Elected Representatives Association (Mubarak) has urged BN to introduce it's nominee for the position for Selangor menteri besar soon.

Mubarak president Abdul Aziz Rahman said this was among the needed strategies to instil confidence towards Selangor BN.

"This has to be clear. People who want to lead Selangor must be identified. He must be introduced.

"This is because these are the group that are expected to save Selangor from its current problems," he said, according to Sinar Harian.

Currently, there is no clear indication from Selangor BN who they will nominate as the menteri besar should BN win the state.

BN chairperson Najib Abdul Razak leads Selangor BN while his deputy is Noh Omar, who shares nearly equal prominence with Selangor BN coordinator Mohd Zin Mohamed.

Noh, the agriculture minister, is known for his abrasive behaviour while Mohd Zin is weighed down by allegations that he had a hand in irregularities in MASkargo Sdn Bhd's operations in Bangladesh in the early 2000s.

It is being speculated among BN circles that Najib would instead introduce a new face, a young professional, as the BN nominee for its menteri besar to face the incumbent Abdul Khalid Ibrahim from PKR, who is an aging corporate figure turned politician.

Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz also urged Umno and BN leaders to exploit Pakatan Rakyat's weaknesses in Selangor in spreading BN's policies and future planning for the state.

"The question is, how far has this been exploited by BN? Look, they have been allowed to rule since 2008. They should have completed (their promises) from A to Z.

"Promises were not fulfilled. Problems that did not exist before, such as water and other issues, are happening now," he was reported saying.
