The police have recorded statements from 11 people over the death of a security guard who was said to have died after running amok and damaging public property in Kajang on Wednesday.

Selangor CID chief SAC Mohd Adnan Abdullah said according to witnesses, C Sugumar, 39, was seen acting wildly in Taman Sri Nanding before heading towards Taman Desa Raya and Taman Lagenda Suria, where he collapsed.
“Witnesses saw the man collapse in Taman Lagenda Suria, and became unconscious after that. None of the witnesses saw any policeman beating him up before he was apprehended,” he told a news conference in Shah Alam today.
In the 6.30pm incident, Sugumar, who was believed to be mentally disturbed, died when he was about to be taken to a patrol car.
A post-mortem showed that he succumbed to heart illness.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and damages, Mohd Adnan said.
