Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin today said stern action should be imposed on actor and radio presenter Patrick Teoh for insulting Islam through his Facebook post recently.
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin today said stern action should be imposed on actor and radio presenter Patrick Teoh for insulting Islam through his Facebook post recently.
He said although Teoh had apologised after being rapped by many, the apology could not be simply accepted without any stern action taken against him.
“It (Teoh’s post) was too nasty. People who did something like that shouldn’t be allowed to apologise so easily and get away with it. He should be called by the authorities for interrogation,” he told reporters after attending the Kedah Umno Youth committee meeting in Alor Setar today.
He said the actor had hurt the feelings of Muslims and he should be charged under the law.
Khairy was commenting on Teoh’s post allegedly insulting Islam in his response to the Kedah PAS government’s guidelines for officials and singers involved in the 1Malaysia Chinese New Year 2013 celebration scheduled to be held in the state.
