DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng mocked MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek, for sneering at Pakatan Rakyat's confidence of breaking the Johor Umno-BN strong-hold and if that happens he will join the DAP.

However, Lim (below) in a tit for tat response shut the door on him, saying the DAP on its part will not welcome the MCA president into its ranks.

NONE"Chua had mocked that if Pakatan takes over Johor then DAP could be the menteri besar and he will join the DAP.

"However, let me say that if he wants to join DAP, we will not even accept him," he said.

"DAP is a party fighting for justice, freedom and democracy for the people. We are not like the BN power hungry, thirsting for wealth and corruption.

"Do not think the DAP is a rubbish party without standards. We will not accept a leader like you. Sorry-lah, for you, there is no place for you in the party. The door is closed for you," he said.

Lim said this at the launching of the "Ubah" video on New Year's day at the Kuala Lumpur Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.

Johor is an Umno -BN stronghold which remains unaffected despite the March 8, 2008 political tsunami which saw Pakatan capturing the four states of Penang, Selangor, Kelantan and Kedah and also Perak before its political crisis.

Pakatan has vouched that it will make inroads in the impending 13th general election.

Chua, who hails from Johor, is known as the politician who was caught in a video tape involved in illicit sex at a hotel in Batu Pahat, which resulted in his resignation as health minister.

However, he has ascended to the MCA presidency by defeating incumbent Ong Tee Keat in 2010 but does not hold any ministerial post in Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's cabinet.

Pakatan better than BN

Lim also took the opportunity to take a dig at the BN using at the Global Financial Integrity report in 2010 which had placed Malaysia in bad light on account of the large amounts of illicit outflow of questionable funds from the country earning the unenviable reputation of being among such nations.

The Penang chief minister said this dubious distinction should not be happening to Malaysia, as it should have been high among nations fighting poverty in the world.

He also said corruption is rampant within the BN government resulting in citizens being sidelined into three different classes.

The first, he said are the BN politicians, the second are its cronies while the third are normal people like you and himself.

"Even shares allocated for bumiputra are all taken up by the powers that be," he said.

The DAP secretary-general vouched that this would not happen if Pakatan works its way into Putrajaya.

Citing the Social Economic Agenda in Penang a an example, Lim said those living in poverty would be given funds to help pull them out of poverty.

"If Penang can do it, Malaysia can certainly do it as well as (rich states) like Sabah and Sarawak, if they had wanted to,"

"However, you have to 'Ubah" (change) first. If Pakatan comes to power this will be the change that we bring." he said.
