A DAP state assemblyperson was today suspended from the Negri Sembilan state assembly for refusing to retract derogatory remarks against the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

State assembly speaker Razak Mansor suspended assemblyperson Ng Chin Tsai (DAP-Temiang) from attending the assembly for two days including today.

Razak suspended Ng under Rule 6 (5) of the meeting Standing Order.

Ng refused to retract remarks that the BN government was ‘evil and dirty’ while debating the Supply Bill (Budget) 2013 in the state assembly in Seremban today.

Despite repeated requests to withdraw the remarks considered to be unsuitable by Razak, Ng refused and was suspended from the assembly sitting.

Ng left the state assembly hall accompanied by the usher. The assembly continues tomorrow.
