PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said today he could contest in any constituency where the party fields him in the next general election, even in Pekan where Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is the elected representative.
“I will abide by the decision of the party. I leave it to the party. The party will make the decision. If the party wants me to contest in (the) Pekan (parliamentary) constituency, I will do so,” he said.
Abdul Hadi, who is the MP for Marang and state assemblyperson for Rhu Rendang, spoke to reporters at the launch of a general election fund for the Terengganu PAS women’s wing in Marang.
He said PAS had almost completed identifying its candidates for the 13th general election.
