The Meteorological Department forecasts erratic rainfall nationwide throughout November following changing and uncertain wind directions.
According to a spokesperson from the department’s Weather Forecast Division, rain and thunderstorms in the evening is expected to last until early November in the west coast of peninsular Malaysia, especially in Perak and the Klang Valley.
“In the east coast of the peninsular and Sabah and Sarawak, rainfall is expected to increase in November... at this time the north-east monsoon season is in its early stages," he said when contacted by Bernama today.
The spokesperson, however, said the weather conditions will not affect the flow of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examinations from Nov 5 to Dec 6.
“It’s still too early for us to make an accurate forecast on whether rain will continue until December,” he said, adding another weather update will be issued before the Deepavali celebration.
