The second generation Felda settlers will receive a RM5,000 windfall, beginning Nov 10.
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is expected to hand over a mock cheque at the three-day Felda New Generation Gathering at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, starting Nov 9.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Ahmad Maslan said the windfall, which was in its third phase, involved a RM563 million allocation.
He said the method of giving the windfall was similar to the two previous phases.
"Nevertheless, they can choose to accept the money under the name of an individual or have it divided among their siblings," he said at a press conference here today.
Meanwhile, Ahmad denied an individual from Sabah owned one million shares in Felda Global Venture (FGV), via the 'Pink Form'.
He said Sabah was given five per cent of share ownership in FGV.
"No individual received one million FGV shares. It is the Sabah government which received five percent of FGV shares," he said.
He clarified that the groups which received the 'Pink Forms' were Felda Group personnel, involving 20,817 people while 112,635 settlers each received 800 units of shares via the 'Blue Forms'.
