An NGO fighting for the rights of Felda settlers has threatened to expose the alleged wrongdoings of an officer slated to replace Felda's currently sidelined director-general, Dzulkilfi Abdul Wahab.

"If they continue with their plan to appoint the deputy-director general in his place, we will lodge reports with the police and Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission with evidence of his misdeeds," National Felda Settlers' Children Association (Anak) chairperson Mazlan Aliman told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.

"He is not well-liked and if he is appointed, things will be bad (in Felda)," Mazlan added.

isa samad interview 150509 However, Mazlan declined to elaborate on the alleged misdeeds of the deputy director-general or what evidence he had, adding only that the officer was close to Felda chairperson Isa Samad ( left ).

Mazlan also claimed that the decision to sack Dzulkifli and replace him with the deputy director-general was made at a special meeting of the Felda management board a few days ago.

However, he said, the decision to sack the director-general and appoint his replacement still needed the approval of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, and he hoped the premier would reconsider the move.

Mazlan added that Isa and his clique wanted to oust Dzulkifli as he was not in agreement with the Felda chairperson's stand on the listing of Felda Global Ventures.

He alleged that the DG had been put on study leave and asked to go on study trips as a means to sideline him.

He is due to return soon, hence the moves to displace him, Mazlan claimed.
