Popular local comedian Ab Rahim Muda, fondly known as Imuda, suffered RM7,000 in losses when his house at Taman Datuk Ahmad Razali in Kuala Lumpur was broken into by thieves recently.

Imuda, 52, only realised what had happened when he and his family returned home at 3pm yesterday after spending 10 days in Penang to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“I arrived home to find the rooms ransacked and my wife's laptop, three mobile phones, RM300 and my collection of watches missing,” he told reporters at his house today.

He then lodged a police report at the Ampang Jaya Police Station and police have found several fingerprints at various locations of the house.

Imuda said there was a possibility that three or four individuals who were involved in the robbery had entered the house through the window since it was pried open with a hard object.

“They (suspects) even ate Raya cookies and drank the rose cordial drink that was in the kitchen,” he added.

Imuda, who attained fame through his role in the sitcom ‘Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu ’, said break-ins and snatch thefts were frequent in the housing area and his wife, Zabarina Mushadi, 30, would have been a victim of snatch theft if a neighbour had not come to the rescue.

“Last month robbers broke into my front neighbour’s house,” he said.

He said he will be more cautious and increase safety in the house they started living in last year.

Meanwhile, Ampang Jaya deputy police chief Supt Nazri Nawawi, when contacted, confirmed the incident, adding that police were trying to identify the suspects.
