The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah underwent surgery on the left eye to repair the macula.

Comptroller of the Royal Household, Istana Negara, Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja of Istana Negara, Awang Kechik Abdul Rahman, in a statement issued in Kuala Lumpur today said the operation went well.

He said the people should not worry and to continue to pray for Tuanku Abdul Halim’s health.

 The operation was carried out by Professor David Wong, from the University of Hong Kong, and Dr Haslina Mohd Ali, an ophthalmology consultant at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah.
