Tee Yong to answer Talam after getting 'further info'

Asked about Talam's statement that it got out of the PN17 status through its regularisation plan and not by way of a state bailout, Chua (

) said the information to counter this was on the way.
"I will give you (the answer) when I receive further information, as I am receiving some on that," he said.
However, when pressed further on other aspects of Talam's reply, Chua said he has part of the information in hand, which he would reveal "when the time comes".
"I actually have further information, but wait until the time (comes) to disclose. Slowly," he said.
He said the information he had revealed during his Tuesday press conference was all derived from publicly available sources.
He had then quoted annual general reports by Talam and state company Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Bhd and news reports.
'There is more to come'
The deputy agriculture minister also declined to comment on the Selangor government’s announcement that it will sue MCA for alleging that it was involved in a “RM1 billion questionable deal” through the Talam debt recovery exercise.
“When I receive the letter I will tell you. I don’t know if they are suing me, or MCA or those who attended the press conference.”
He added that he will “continue doing what I think should be done” and that there is “more to come”.
Asked if this means that he will continue with his exposes regardless of any legal action he said: “I never (said) regardless of (law)suit. That was my sentence. You quote word for word.”
“As a state government, it should do what it thinks it should and I will continue with my work and do what is necessary.”
Chua had on Tuesday also said that he does not have information on how the government had used the RM392 million which it obtained in a supplementary budget to facilitate the debt recovery exercise.
However, Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim was reported to have given an extensive explanation on this in the state assembly in 2010 when he announced that the Talam debt had been cleared.
‘Are you working for Khalid?’
Asked about this, Chua said: “I’m asking the question now. Why are you clarifying for him? Are you working for Tan Sri Khalid?
“I have asked but they do not clarify but want to sue,” said Chua, who was flanked by Selangor MCA leaders.
Answering on Chua’s behalf, Kuala Kubu Baru assemblyperson Wong Koon Mun said that it was not for MCA to request information from the government via the Freedom of Information Enactment 2010.
Wong said MCA was asking on behalf of the rakyat and the state should not hide behind a lawsuit.
“The MB must understand he’s no longer a corporate figure but an MB and the rakyat deserves to know the details of the transaction and use of the money between Talam and the state.
“He keeps saying, ‘I will sue you, I will not answer’. That does not have the makings of a transparent government,” Wong added.
