Malaysia's industrial output rose 14 percent year-on-year in April, supported by positive growth in all sectors, and was up 1.6 percent from March, the government said today.

Industrial output rose 13 percent year-on-year in March and was up three percent from February.

In April, the manufacturing sector grew 16.1 percent year-on-year, the electricity sector rose 11.5 percent and the mining sector expanded 4.6 percent.

For first four months of the year, industrial output rose 14.2 percent year-on-year, with manufacturing up 16.4 percent, electricity up 8.8 percent and mining up 6.2 percent. - AFP
