The Kuala Lumpur Petty Traders Action Council (KLPTAC) plans to collect one million signatures to show they are against street protests that create chaos.

NONE Its chairman Jamal Md Yunus, infamous for the burger stall protest outside Bersih co-coordinator S Ambiga’s house, said the one million signatures collected from traders and the public will be submitted to Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah.

"We have collected 110,000 signatures over the last five days and hope to collect one million signatures before fasting month (July)," he told reporters today.

Jamal said KLPTAC also plans to hold a peaceful rally at Merdeka Stadium or National Stadium, Bukit Jalil on June 23.

"We have submitted the application. The purpose of the rally is to demand compensation for losses incurred following street protests," he added.

Lucky draw for luxury cars

Jamal, who owned a string of Sekinchan Ikan Bakar restaurants, has recently offered to give away two luxury cars, including a Lamborghini, to fans of his organisation’s Facebook page .

NONE A lucky draw would be held for a BMW 530 once 150,000 people have signed up and when the count hits one million, a second lucky draw would be held for the grand prize - the Lamborghini Gallardo .

As of 10pm today, 1,122 people have ‘like’ the page since it went live two weeks ago.
