Two officers from the Johor Baru North district police headquarters today recorded a statement from former Perak menteri besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin over his Twitter statement on the bid for the WWW 1 vehicle registration number by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim.

NONEThe district’s crime investigation head, DSP Sanawi Muhamad who led the investigation with DSP Sukiman Arshad, arrived at the Perak PAS office in Ipoh at about 2pm and took about an hour to record Mohammad Nizar’s statement.

The Perak PAS deputy commissioner when met by reporters, said he answered all the 28 questions posed by the police officers.

“They (police) have investigated and I have given my statement, so I leave the matter to them as I respect the police,” he said.

Mohammad Nizar said the case was being investigated under Section 4(1)(b) of the Sedition Act.

On Monday, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said Johor police had received 39 police reports over Mohammad Nizar’s offending statement.
