PAS should be sincere if it wants to discuss with Umno on strengthening Malay unity and Islam in the country, the Prime Minister’s political secretary Mohd Fatmi Che Salleh said today.
PAS should be sincere if it wants to discuss with Umno on strengthening Malay unity and Islam in the country, the Prime Minister’s political secretary Mohd Fatmi Che Salleh said today.
He said PAS should not also impose conditions to do so.
“If PAS is sincere, don’t just make it known in the newspapers, make an official request,” he told reporters after meeting residents in the Kota Lama state constituency in Kota Baharu.
He said this in response to Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat’s statement today that PAS should open its doors for discussion with any non-governmental organisations, including Umno.
Fatmi said the discussion, if held, should benefit all quarters and not to show which side was stronger.
