Teng's BlackBerry blunder sparks BN walkout

your sayAnonymous: Which BN speaker both in the Parliament or in the various state assemblies has ever been impartial, fair and objective?

Most of them remain as active Umno-BN members even at the division and branch level; attend party functions; and frequently appear with the PM, DPM, MB or CM and other ministers, executive councillors and party officials to promote the government's policies both before and during elections.

Until the BN learns to play by the rules, Pakatan is not obliged to follow suit. The political system in Malaysia has never been fair, thanks to the single party rule for over 54 years.

Pakatan would be naive if they followed the rules and conventions which the BN neither respects nor promotes even before they can get power.

Once Pakatan is in government and the two-party system is firmly entrenched, then Pakatan can follow the best practices and traditions of democracy exemplified by countries like the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India.

Mob1900: This is just BN's usual show of ignorance and refusal to acknowledge the fact that Selangor is a better state under Pakatan.

For BN to give the SMS (illegally obtained from former PAS Hasan Ali it seems) as the reason for their walkout is so childish and unbecoming of any representative.

Selangor constituents who voted for these representatives should really reconsider their votes. It's quite embarrassing why they were chosen in the first place.

Ok Ok Ok Ok Ok: As a speaker, Teng should be fair and just to all assemblypersons. Pakatan always complained about speakers who are biased in BN-controlled state and parliamentary assemblies, but they do not practice what they preach.

Two wrongs do not make one right.

Timothy: Teng is biased? Well, the whole Umno-BN's governing structure, policies, implementations are heavily biased towards a number of things.

Look at the education system, JPA, Mara, BN state administrations, GLCs, scholarships, the judicial system, MACC, PDRM, EC, business contracts awards (for example, the Cowgate, etc), you name it.

Almost everything we can touch in our everyday life is biased. We are very far from being treated justly and fairly.

Onyourtoes: Sometimes these BN people are hypocritical. Do we expect parliament speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia to be fair when conducting business in Dewan Rakyat?

Of course not, we have accepted this reality a long time ago. Only BN goons are living in a fantasy world.

AngryBird: We all know that the parliament speaker and Perak state assembly speakers are biased and that means the Selangor assembly speaker should follow their dirty footsteps.

The Umno-BN imbeciles are just waiting for a small blunder by Pakatan and will capitalise on it. However, they have forgotten that they are the looters, plunderers, thieves and liars.

Public Voice: The BN reps are just making a scene here. Just look at our Parliament House, what happens there, is that not bias by the speaker? The joke of the day is that they heard this from the frog, Hasan Ali.

Concern Ctzen: Question: Why is a message going to Hasan Ali ends up in BN's hands? It's very interesting indeed and all who have brains will know what the answer is.

SimpleSimon: It is no blunder. Teng was probably just testing ‘Taliban' Hasan Ali. True enough, the latter passed the SMS to the enemy.

Anyway, the truth is there for all to see. Selangor under Pakatan in the last four years has done much for the rakyat, like scholarship awards, free water, etc.

BN has also done much during their time but not in the interests of the rakyat, rather for themselves and their cronies.

Remember the former Port Klang rep's ‘Zakaria Palace' in Klang? Remember former MB Dr Mohd Khir Toyo's Bali mansion? Remember Khir's Disneyland adventure? The list goes on and on. Mind you, all these were done with taxpayers' money.

Free And Fair Election: Umno-BN has always been gentlemanly in all their dealings, no? It's not wrong to rob Perak's speaker of his post and replace it with their own ‘remote control' speaker, is it?

Stop throwing your toys out of the pram and acting like a crybabies. You ‘righteous lot' are truly drama queens.

Teng's bias merely follows decades-old BN tradition
