A student was ordered to undergo 200 hours of community service by the magistrate’s court in Kuala Lumpur today, for a superman stunt while riding his motorcycle.

Magistrate Suzarika Sahak made the decision when Muhamad Hafiz Nor Azizaruddin, 19, pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless riding along Jalan Loke Yew in Kuala Kumpur on March 17 at 3.40am.

Suzarika also instructed the training centre student to carry out community service within a 24-month period.

Muhamad Hafiz was charged under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) (Amendment 1999) which carries a jail sentence of not more than five years, fine of not more RM15,000 and ineligibility to own a driving licence for two years.

Prosecution was carried out by prosecuting officer Inspector M Rajan while Muhamad Hafiz was not represented.
