189 flood victims evacuated in Felda Jelai 4, Gemas

Approximately 189 people from 43 houses in Block 19, Felda Jelai 4, Gemas were evacuated after their houses were submerged under one metre of flood water following a heavy downpour and overflowing of the Muar river yesterday.
Approximately 189 people from 43 houses in Block 19, Felda Jelai 4, Gemas were evacuated after their houses were submerged under one metre of flood water following a heavy downpour and overflowing of the Muar river yesterday.
According to the Malaysia Natural Disaster and Emergency Info page on Facebook, the victims were currently taking shelter at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Jelai 4.
The evacuation was conducted by the Fire and Rescue Department, with cooperation from the Civil Defence Department, police and People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) at about 11pm.
No casualties were reported so far.
