Strong winds and rough seas expected

Strong northeasterly winds with speeds up to 60kph and waves up to 4.5m high are forecast to occur in waters off Sarawak (Mukah, Bintulu and Miri), Labuan, Sabah (Interior, West Coast and Kudat), Condore, Reef North, Reef South, Layang-layang and Palawan from Saturday until next Wednesday.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement today also issued a similar warning for waters off Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, East Johore, Sarawak (Kuching and Rejang), Samui, Tioman and Bunguran.
The conditions are dangerous to all shipping and coastal activities including fishing and ferry services.
