PPP seeks to contest two seats in Kelantan

The People's Progressive Party (PPP) said today it hopes that the Barisan Nasional will allocate at least two seats in Kelantan for the component party to contest in the next general election.
PPP vice-president says the party is quite influential in Kelantan and has the potential to win in certain constituencies.
The People's Progressive Party (PPP) said today it hopes that the Barisan Nasional will allocate at least two seats in Kelantan for the component party to contest in the next general election.
PPP vice-president Nik Sapeia Nik Yusoff said the party was quite influential in Kelantan and had the potential to win in certain constituencies.
"The PPP is most hopeful of contesting seats in Kelantan, and I am confident that the party has the potential to win in some areas, such as in Kuala Krai," he told Bernama.
Nik Sapeia (left), who is Kelantan PPP chairman, said the next general election is the best opportunity for the BN to recapture Kelantan, provided all quarters are united.
He said Kelantan BN led by International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed has won over the trust of the people.
Nik Sapeia also asked Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat to refrain from contesting in the next general election like several other leaders who have decided so.
