The Kota Bharu High Court today overturned the six-month jail sentence imposed by a lower court on businessman Nik Sapeia
Nik Yusoff for voluntarily causing hurt by spraying a dangerous substance at former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 2006.
Judge finds that the magistrate had erred in facts and law when sentencing the businessman to six months' jail on Jan 14, 2010.

Judge Mariana Yahya, in allowing Nik Sapeia's appeal and acquitting and discharging him, found that the magistrate had erred in facts and law when sentencing the businessman to six months' jail on Jan 14, 2010.
