Nik Aziz ready to declare assets to MACC

Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said today that he was willing to declare his assets to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) if asked to do so.

Nik Aziz, who is also PAS spiritual leader, said the issue of politicians and civil servants declaring their assets was an old one.
"I and my executive counicllors can declare our assets, if the regulations call for it," he told reporters in Kota Bharu today.
He was commenting on a call by Pertubuhan Angkatan Generasi Muda Melayu Kelantan (Agenda), a non-governmental organisation, that he (Nik Aziz) and his family members declare their assets to the MACC to show that they are totally transparent and entirely free of corruption.
