Johor sultan's aunt dies

An aunt of Sultan Ibrahim of Johor, Tunku Tun Maimunah Sultan Ismail, died of heart failure in Johor Baru today.

Johor Council of Royal Court secretary Abdul Rahim Ramli, when contacted, said Tunku Tun Maimunah, passed away at her residence in Bukit Gedong, here, about 4.50am.
She was the wife of the Johor Council of Royal Court president Tunku Osman Tunku Temenggong Ahmad. They had four children.
The late Tunku Tun Maimunah, 73, more well-known as Tunku Gedong, was a daughter of the late Sultan Ismail and the late Sultanah Ungku Tun Aminah.
Her remains were buried at the Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum in Johor Baru at about 4.30pm.
The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail and other members of the Johor royal family members attended the funeral.
