Investigation on the plastic cones which were found with other explosive materials at a gathering at the Jalan Duta Court Complex yesterday did not belong to the police, Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department Head Ku Chin Wah said.

ipd kl bersih 090711 ku chin wahHe said the shape of the cones was not the same as the police cones which were placed in the area.

"At a glance, they looked like the police cones, but they are bigger and of different make and colour.

"The cones do not have the word ‘Polis' written on them," Ku (right) told reporters when met at a scene of a shooting in Wangsa Maju in Kuala Lumpur today.

Ku said investigation on the home-made time bombs that were found at the scene were found to contain a battery and watch with the time for them to explode having being set earlier.

As such, he urged the public with information on the matter to contact the police.

Ku said it was also discovered that the explosions that occurred on that day were from the same source as the materials used were the same.

"They were also believed to have been placed by the same person," he added.

Five people were injured in three explosions in the vicinity of the Court Complex after the High Court delivered its verdict on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy case.
