Selangor PAS information chief Saari Sungib has been let off with a stern warning for issuing a statement last month about potential candidates for the next general election.
According to a report in Sinar Harian, the warning was issued following a meeting with four senior PAS leaders on Sunday, at the monthly central committee meeting.
"He (Saari, left) has been reminded against issuing statements which could create a negative impression about the party," PAS information chief Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man is quoted as saying.
"A warning is sufficient as Saari has not made any further statements since then."
Saari had issued a statement about Hasan not getting sufficient nominations to defend the Gombak Setia state seat.
Harakah Daily reported this morning that Saari had met PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, secretary-general Mustafa Ali, vice-president Salahuddin Ayub and Tuan Ibrahim during the session.
