Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will visit Burma on Friday, officials said.

Abdullah was initially scheduled to visit Burma late last month, but the trip was posponed because he was unwell.

The Burma visit will be the last leg of Abdullah's introductory tour of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, a tradition for newly installed regional leaders.

Abdullah took over from veteran leader Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Oct 31. - AFP
