Embattled Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has denied that she had tendered her resignation to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Dismissing the resignation talk, Shahrizat said, "It is not true. I have never handed in a resignation letter. There were merely rumours, something that the opposition wanted to happen.
"It's entirely up to the prime minister to decide on my position," she told reporters at the Federal Territory Wanita BN's election machinery consolidation programme in Kuala Lumpur today.
Najib has denied claims that Shahrizat had tendered her resignation over the scandal involving a RM250 million government soft loan to the National Feedlot Corporation, a company owned by Shahrizat's family.
Shahrizat, who is also Wanita BN chief, said the movement has identified 30 parliamentary constituencies that would be given special attention by the election machinery.
She said they were parliamentary constituencies won by top opposition leaders and expected to be wrested by the BN in the 13th general election.
"From our surveys and feedback from voters, we found that the opposition's weaknesses are telling in terms of a lot of hassle to get aid and empty promises," she said.
