Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Noh Omar claimed today that the Selangor government-owned newspaper is publishing unfounded news about him.

NONEHe alleged that the ‘Selangorkini’ was bent on tarnishing his image and credibility and eventually toppling him at the next general election.

Noh, who is also Selangor Umno liaison committee deputy chairperson, said he was contemplating legal action against the newspaper.

Speaking to reporters after attending the Innovation Day 2011 of the Malaysian Agriculture Research and Development Institute (Mardi), he said he was prepared to engage in a debate with Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim on the issues raised in the newspaper to enable the people make their own evaluation.
