DAP out to make M'sia a republic, claims Muhyiddin

Milosevic: The DAP can never bring about a republic for obvious reasons. But let's play along with DPM and imagine a DAP ‘coup'. Yes, the DAP could substantially change the Malaysian way of life:

1) Shaping an excellent multiracial faculty in universities to match Singapore, and thereby vastly increase the skills of Malays.

2) The efficient management of society in which the average Malay incomes are higher than presently, but elite Malay wealth lowered to match their actual societal value.

3) Freedom of religious worship in which 99.9% of Muslims might feel more pure due to less corruption around, but fewer obstacles to certain Muslims to practice (including the Shia).

4) Suffian Hashim-quality judges, who write legal commentary cited by foreign courts.

5) A police force defending fundamental liberties and making people secure.

6) Less racial and religious brinkmanship in politics. The Malays might like the system, and this is unMalay.

Onyourtoes: Tsk, tsk, DAP must be a very powerful party in Malaysia today.

DAP, if you are so powerful, how come you were not able to block the draconian Peaceful Assembly Bill passed on Wednesday?

DAP, if you are so powerful, how come you were not able to stop the pilferage in PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone), in NFC (National Feedlot Corporation), and in other ministries and agencies?

DAP, if you are so powerful, how come you were not able to get all the findings and resolutions of RCI (royal commission of inquiry) on so many issues respected?

DAP, if you are so powerful, why despite the majority in Perak State Assembly (before the power grab by BN), you yielded to a PAS candidate as the MB?

DAP, if you are so powerful and wanting to form a republic, why did you respect the constitutional monarchy and the state constitution?

Hey DPM, can you tell us in what sense are Malays powerful in Malaysia today? Is it because they are Malays, and under the constitution they have privileges, and the religion they practiced is the official religion of the federation?

But beyond the form and pomp, what else do they have under your party's care for the past 50 years? What sharing of wealth are you talking about when the ruling elites, in cohorts with tycoons of all races, have taken all?

What skill, competency and knowledge have you inculcated in them to face the modern world?

All you have is one moronic education minister after another hammering one moronic education policy after another.

Multi Racial: Yes, DAP did criticise the Najib Razak's administration and the government service which happen to be majority Malays.

But they were criticising those inefficient, corrupted and racist one. Is Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin trying to protect these people or like what the Malays say "siapa makan chili dia rasa pedas"?

What do you say about a deputy prime minister who dare to lie publicly?

Swipenter: As expected, spoken just like a true ‘Malay First' DPM. These kind of Umno politicians play the same old record for the last 40 plus years.

We also have Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan singing the same old tired song, "The Malays are going to lose political power and Islam is under threat...".

And always the enemy/bogeyman is DAP (read: Chinese) together with the traitors of the Malay race (read: PKR and PAS).

There is nothing refreshing and new in the way Umno thinks about national issues confronting us and to come up with new, creative and innovative ways, methods and approaches of solving them in the 21st century.

They are so fossilised and incapable of change and reform, and are reacting in the most predictable way - play the race and religious card. Expect to hear more of such rhetoric and spins in the coming days.

Ksn: Dear DPM, talk instead about your plans to get rid of rampant corruption in the country, how you plan to address the woes of the marginalised groups from all communities, how you plan to make all the institutions free and competent with capable men and women, how you plan to have leaders with integrity in the coming GE - you know, all those positive aspects essential for nation building which are now totally absent.

How pitiful and sad coming as it does from someone who is waiting impatiently to be the PM, if I may say so. The country knows you are trying to intimidate the Malays to vote for Umno.

Nik V: What a horrible man - pitting countryman against countryman. This type of politicians are the worst kind of human beings when they are willing to scare the rakyat and instigate the weak-minded to hate.

Not only are these poor-minded politicians sinful, they even lack the conscience and any integrity by constantly putting our nation on the edge. When will Malaysia ever see a true Malaysian leader who will fight for all? When?

Louis: As a leader, Muhyiddin should be careful with his words. Simply accusing DAP of wanting to turn Malaysia into a republic is the mother of all lies. DAP leaders must be insane for harbouring such an idea.
