your sayThere is this Oxford graduate, who despite his brilliant education, thinks that it is justifiable for the NFC (National Feedlot Corporation) to abuse public funds by purchasing two luxurious condominiums in Bangsar and deems it appropriate to attack an innocent minor with his now infamous "Kampung buah dada" comments. What an idiot.

The point is that one can be a recipient of multiple scholarships or go to the best universities in the world but still be an idiot. Just one look at the BN cabinet confirms this.

Jeremy Tankh: What Dr M is saying is that, idiots support BN blindly. But now, it is getting very difficult for BN to stay in power, because there are fewer and fewer idiots around.

Onyourtoes: Indeed, information and communication technology is not a problem. The problem is corrupted and dishonest governments.

Mahathir, you have just said you are only capable of managing handicapped people because you are just slightly above them.

You have to be the biggest idiot when you had 22 years of power and yet you couldn't produce a first-class society compared to your production of off-springs that needed big daddy's pocket to help bail them out.

And you must be the biggest idiot for being unable to keep your hissing mouth shut, despite the 2008 Tsunami. Any simpleton would have realised there and then that change was inevitable.

And what do you do? You continue to play racial politics. Yes sir, you are the biggest idiot because you cannot accept what is going to happen.

Swkdayaks: Why Malaysia's debt is now at RM438 billion and the annual debt servicing at RM50 billion? This all started during his time.

Under you, there were plenty of idiots but now there are fewer because through the alternative media many who were once idiots were educated and have their minds unshackled by bloggers.

This says it all of how the BN views the rakyat: You are supposed to be dumber than them, but now is getting slightly less dumb. Intelligence is not good for BN.

Abasir: Yes, Mahathir is correct. He survived for 22 years because of the prevailing ignorance then, largely among the people whose ethnicity he claimed for himself - the people who allowed themselves to be led by a 'constitutional Malay'.

But times, as they say, are changing and the rural rakyat is also waking up thanks to Pakatan Rakyat. That is why he and the inepts he left behind in his party are out to get those who are leading the awakening.

Milosevic: When Mahathir was in power he did brilliant things - from Perwaja Steel (steal?), jailing Anwar, forex (foreign exchange) losses in Bank Negara, to ushering in a university system in which technology companies have said 90 percent of the local graduates are unemployable.

Now that he is a citizen, the society has become much smarter, with him on the non-government side. So, the government has a lot more headaches.

Yes, ask Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and to some extent Najib Razak. The former was attacked incessantly by Mahathir, and he takes snipes at Najib. Unfortunately, his gripes are not the same as the rakyat (like the decline of institutions, human rights and freedoms, fair treatment). He knows better.

One day the country will restore the balance - Mahathir representing the rakyat, and his son (Mukhriz) sitting as the PM. How fortunate for Malaysia!

Thinking: It’s so sad to hear Dr M say this, treating us as idiots who are easily swayed and manipulated. So he finally admits this.

The question is, are we still idiots, albeit the intelligent types that still swallow what politicians says without thinking first?
