I was broke, but I didn't quit PKR for money

your sayPemerhati: People like senator Ezam Mohd Noor and some other politicians cannot earn a decent living either by doing business or by working for an organisation. When some of them have financial difficulties, they switch sides and join BN or become its sympathisers.

But BN does not grant favours and give its money easily to these running dogs. It wants them to bark appropriately against Pakatan Rakyat and its leaders before it would throw them any bones.

So from time to time, we hear the barks of these dogs from Selangor, Perak and Penang. When you hear that bark, it means that BN has either already thrown them a bone or is dangling one before them.

Malaysiasakit: Ezam, you quit PKR with guns blazing vowing to fight corruption to the last drop of blood. Since then we have come across numerous expose of corruption and abuse of power and we have heard nothing more than a squeak from you.

Now you admit that you were once broke but claim you did not leave PKR because of monetary inducement. Sure, I am Chinese and my father is the King of England. Would you believe me?

Bender: Yes, we heard you loud and clear, Ezam. You left PKR because of Anwar Ibrahim, but you rejoined Umno, why?

Wasn't it you who lambasted Umno-BN on a daily basis? And yet, you joined the same establishment that you have been condemning, solely on the basis of your disagreement with Anwar?

What happened to your fight for the rakyat? Look at what you have become now. You're just a running dog for Umno-BN, occasionally emerging in the media to condemn the opposition. That appears to be your sole purpose in Umno, and getting paid heftily for that too. It beats working for the rakyat, isn't it?

This whole thing stinks of money all the way. There is no use denying it, we can see right through you.

Anonymous: The fact is, Ezam was broke. There is no dispute on this point. Whether he left because he was offered monetary rewards is left to everyone's guess.

Answer: It is an Umno ‘wayang' (show) and Ezam is the lead actor. Now that explains all, doesn't it?

You think any Tom, Dick or Harry can end up as a senator a few years after rejoining Umno?

Malayamuda: For all these, I salute DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) - betrayed by old and new friends, attacked from front, sides and also the back. Shamed, dragged through dirt, punched, kicked and spat on.

But still he stands firmly in Pakatan. Anyone of us, so broken, would have surrendered a long, long time ago, and re-joined Umno.

If that was all his departure from PKR was about, then his subsequent vitriol against PKR and Anwar is disproportionate to the reasons cited.

I was under the impression that maybe Ezam was envious that Anwar would prefer Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan to him and hence, like a woman scorned, he continues with his laments against Anwar in particular.

Blogsmith: This turncoat was thrown some crumbs by Umno-BN to betray his party and friends, and probably told to bark more venomously in order to get a senatorship.

For what other reason can such a disgrace of a human be fit to be a senator? Just reading about him spewing nonsense makes me want to vomit.

Wira: Ezam, we believe your short sting with an NGO was only a cover.

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. If senator Syed Husin Ali loves money more than his conviction, he would have been a vice-chancellor of Universiti Malaya and a very rich man today - long before others have their turn.

Geronimo: So Ezam has a bone to pick with Anwar, and if he was noble enough, he would just resign from PKR and take up a position with an NGO.

The reason for him choosing to re-join Umno is plain to see. He compromised his beliefs and integrity for money. That, in short, makes him a mercenary.

BTN: How can a chap who is detested by society for what he did expect anything from society.

Ezam is an opportunist and when the going got tougher in PKR, the only place he knew could give him money was Umno.

If Ezam had to rely on his wife's salary, that would have been preferable rather than selling out to Umno.
