Many soothsayers including politicians, academicians, popular columnist have come abound predicting on an election by end of 2011 or on or about the first quarter of 2012.

The master tactician of all, Dr Mahathir Mohamad had subtly made the call in his statement on the direction of the election date that one should not be done in haste.

Looking at the position of Umno, they are indeed in a quagmire themselves, as a day does not pass without some scandal that continues to be exposed at such a rate that we can’t even keep up with it.

Umno with a broken faction within themselves have not reconciled with their power rush along with their mandores living in a false fantasy, with their typical occasional show pieces that tell the rakyat BN is doing good and making attempts to connect with the people. There is such a massive disjoint with the community that these days they live with a ‘syok sendiri’ syndrome.

Look at Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, an old hen who he has to find another organ to voice his opinion, as any dissent within the Umno hierachy or its mandores is obviated.

Do you think it is wise for them to call for an election so soon, when their own house is not in order?

Pakatan, what can I say about them? They can’t even figure out within themselves with endless self-glorifying accolades and exhausting themselves in the battle for political survival rather than one that is concentrated on the public ie the community.

For a start, Pakatan feels that that they are beyond reproach, naturally inflated and encouraged by the cyber commentators in the online media. They however fail to see that the mandate was given to them by the people, so that they would not make the same mistakes as Umno and its mandores have made, yet they feel that they are beyond criticism even if they keep making mistakes in their infancy of ruling just the state governments.

I really don’t see the logic when they keep failing over each other in engaging various other organisations whom I believe have sincere objectives for the community, as it is power play as usual like how Umno does it.

There is no peculiarity how a political organ behaves as it fits their agenda, but it is for us the individual who carry the vote who determine the fate of the country and manouvre the objectives of people represented elective.

Neither the old horse Umno nor the new horse Pakatan have performed adequately to address the needs of society, but rather have been mudslinging each other like Goliath and David for political purposes while we the people get caught in between.

We, the people need to drive ourselves to fine tune these political parties towards the idea that the permitted motion is only one that is beneficial for the community, irrespective of political alliances.

Umno will be foolish to call for an election when it is so topsy turvy, whereas Pakatan to play the tune and drum it up is no better as well.

As an individual voter irrespective of my origin, if what I say means anything to these highly esteemed politicians, I think an election should not be held until March 2013 until we are able to see and observe what both Umno and Pakatan through their policies have actually done to enhance the community.

We don’t need to know the past and dwell on it but work towards the future and neither the ruling government nor the opposition is doing much in this aspect, except bitching about each other for political survival.

I don’t think Malaysians per se are that stupid to be unable to distinguish between what is false and real and the gutter politics exercised by both factions in the run up to GE13 sits right in the sewer for me.

I think the ball is in our court, ie people like you and me who are the voters, to decide and not these politicians, when the election is to take place. And I say it should not happen until we see what these political morons from both sides of the equation have done in totality for the community irrespective of their political origin, rather than seesawing and hoodwinking us to gain our vote.

I propose as a voter that no election to be called until and when it is mandated for in 2013, and if Umno goes ahead, then they will feel the wrath of people like me. As for the opposition get your act right, don’t act like Umno and its mandores as we don’t want another power crazed coalition to replace the present one.
