A 24-year-old woman suffered a broken nose after her 22-year-old male cousin punched her in the face over a prank involving the latter’s wallet yesterday.
The man had earlier in the morning gone to meet the woman who is a sales assistant at a furniture shop in Raub.
However, while there, the woman played prankster and took the man’s wallet without his knowledge, Pahang deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Haris Daud said.
“At around noon, however, the woman went to her cousin’s home in Taman Raub Jaya to return the wallet,” he told a news conference.
As the woman was about to leave, the man stopped her and punched her in the face apart from kicking her and knocking her head against the wall.
He said the man was enraged by the prank the woman played on him because he needed his identification card in the wallet to register for a driving lesson.
Meanwhile, a housewife received three stitches to the head after she was beaten by her husband for failing to prepare lunch on Wednesday.
Mohd Harris said the incident occurred at their home in Taman Netas Maju, Mentakab at about 3pm.
He said the 55-year-old man who had just returned from work blew his top after finding that his wife, 39, had not prepared any meal. He then took a piece of wood and hit her before stomping on her body, causing her to pass out.
He said the incident was witnessed by their four children aged between five and 13.
