In September, manufacturing sector output grew 12.2 percent from a year earlier, electricity output was up 4.1 percent while mining fell 0.1 percent, it said.
Rise in manufacturing
The month-on-month increase in September industrial output was due to a 5.0 percent rise in manufacturing. However, there was a 3.6 percent fall in electricity and 2.2 percent contraction in mining, it said.
For the nine months to September, the Statistics Department said industrial output was up 8.3 percent from a year ago, supported by growth in all sectors.
