Water disruption in several NS areas until Dec 31

Consumers in Taman Semarak, Nilai, Taman Kelab Tuanku, Jalan Seremban-Port Dickson and Taman Desa Rhu are expected to face water disruption in their areas from today to Dec 31.

Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (Sains) public affairs manager Azlan Abdul Aziz said the disruption was to enable upgrading works, especially replacement of pipes to be carried out from the ‘tapping point’ to the water meters of the consumers.
“The upgrading works involve the replacement of old high density polyethylene pipes (HDPE/Poly) or galvanised iron pipes to new polyethylene aluminum composite pipe (PA pipe) or ‘stainless steel’ that are known to be long lasting,” he said in a statement in Seremban today.
He added that the upgrading works that involve about 2,870 consumers was also an initiative by Sains to reduce non-revenue water.
