Retirement bill set to be tabled next month

The Private Sector Retirement Age bill is expected to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat next month, Human Resource Minister Dr S Subramaniam said today.

He did not say what the retirement age would be although he noted that there had been a proposal for it to be 64.
Subramaniam was speaking to reporters when he was visiting the site of the Segamat-Tangkak-Muar road upgrading project in Segamat.
He said the project would make Segamat “comparable” to other districts closer to the North-South Expressway.
