Police are yet to take action on a new video clip released by blogger Papa Gomo, alleged to be the prelude to a new sex video involving Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, because there is nothing offending about it, says inspector-general of police Ismail Omar.

NONE“That part, I don't see anything offending at all,” he told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.

The blogger had last Saturday released a black-and-white video clip of a man, alleged to be Anwar in a bathrobe, and threatened to released the full “sex video” soon.

Papa Gomo had also posted footage alleged to be of Anwar and businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, which he claims to be footage captured shortly before the first sex video, which was released in March this year.

Pointing out that the case of the first video screened to journalists at a luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur by Shazryl had already been resolved, Ismail added that the police would act if there were any new reports.

“If there are official complaints made, we will look at it again, whether it (the second video) is related or not related (to the first). Because, you know, the first case has already been taken to court,” he said.

Anwar, who is also PKR de facto leader, has denied that he is the person in the first video, and refused to entertain the most recent claim.

PKR Youth deputy information chief Rozan Azen Mat Rasip last Sunday made a police report against the pro-Umno blogger, claiming that the video Papa Gomo has threatened to release would have an "adverse impact on society".

Asked about the progress in other police reports made against the blogger, including claims of fabricated documents, Ismail said his men were looking into them.

"We're looking into this. As I said, whatever action we take must be within what provisions there are and our actions must be right and justified, without siding with any parties," he said.
