Former Selangor Menteri Besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo, who claimed that three federal ministers were conspiring to have him jailed, is willing to cooperate with his BN colleagues to recapture Selangor provided they shut up.

NONE He told Chinese language newspaper Sin Chew Daily that if the three agreed to stop bad-mouthing him, he would work with them to ensure the Selangor state government returns to BN in the next general election.

According to the report published today, Khir reserved any action against the trio depending on the situation.

The purpose of revealing the ministers' 'conspiracy' in his blog, Khir said, was to issue a warning to them.

"I will not disclose their names today, tomorrow or in the future, but I have strong evidence to prove they are trying to frame me.

'I did his to warn them'

"I know who they are. I did this to warn them... don't think that nobody knows about their conspiracy. I have reliable evidence and sources, don't doubt me," Sin Chew quoted him as saying.

In a blog post on Tuesday, in which he referred to the spirit of Ramadan, Khir said three federal ministers have conspired to have him jailed for graft.

Khir was recently called to defend himself against charges of accepting inducements in the form of hefty discounts for a mansion while he was menteri besar.

Following his scathing allegation, Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein urged Khir to substantiate the claim while his Umno colleagues in Selangor expressed disagreement and regret.

Khir's allegations came one month before the start of his defence against his graft charges in the High Court in Shah Alam on Sept 26.

He is widely blamed for BN's loss of Selangor to Pakatan in the March 2008 general election, after ruling the state from 2000.

Following this, Khir was relieved of his post as Selangor Umno head, which was taken over by Najib Abul Razak, the party president and prime minister. Najib then appointed Noh Omar, Khir's bitter rival , as his deputy.

Noh has been touted as the candidate for the menteri besar's job should BN win Selangor back in the next general election.
