A total of 19,191 Sabah civil servants will receive a bonus of half-month salary or a minimum of RM500, Chief Minister Musa Aman said today.

Musa, who is also Sabah Finance Minister said the payment of the annual and performance bonus will involve a cost of RM16,166,364.40.

“It is an appreciation to the civil servants' contributions and dedication in implementing state development programmes and agendas for the people's well-being.

“It is also a move to ease their burden in facing the high cost of living," he said adding that the bonus would be paid before Aidilfitri.
