Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today appealed to the media not to discuss the controversy over the raid of a multi-racial dinner at a church until all the facts are in.

He said they should wait for the full report from the Selangor Islamic Department Jais which raided the dinner at the Damansara Utama Methodist Church on Wednesday.

"Media reports can be confusing and lead to speculation. I therefore ask that we do not discuss this matter until we have all the facts and a decision can be made," Abdul Khalid told reporters after  presenting financial aid amounting to RM7,000 to 298 former settlers of Kampung Rimba Jaya, Shah Alam.

Abdul Khalid had been asked on the position of chairman of the Committee for Islamic Affairs, Malay Customs, Infrastructure and Public Utilities Hasan Mohd Ali who had said Jais had found evidence to back their actions.

The menteri besar said he did not expect the report from Jais to be completed before Hari Raya at the end of the month.
