Najib won by a razor-slim margin of only 241 votes in Pekan during the 1999 election. He was losing the count, but the postal votes that came from the Army and Air Force base in Kuantan made all the difference.

Etok: I ex-army from Ranger who served in Seberang Takir camp from 1986 to 1992. I cannot remember which GE where I was told by my superior in Task Force VII or MPG to vote for my unit. The total number of votes, if I'm not mistaken, were more than 500.

The court in KL has so expediently declared an outright rejection. Taib has perfected the art of weaving the magic carpet and stoking the genie in the bottle to the tune of possessing personal control and power over any Peninsular Malaysian's access into Sarawak.

As the citizen of the same country. he and his team of coteries could deny us entry. This makes Malaysian-style of democracy and judicial order a mockery, a sham and an outright ludicrous farce.


Penang voters increase by 32,000 in three months

DontPlayGod: Where did the 32,000 votes come from? The Election Commission owes it to the public to explain this in the interest of democracy and transparency. Are these new postal voters? Can the EC reveal the names and IC numbers with the addresses?

And why do we need postal votes? Are we to understand that all the police personnel and armed forces personnel are at war, and cannot leave their posts to vote?

Besides gerrymandering, Umno has been using these postal votes to win elections for far too long and it is time to put a stop to this nonsense. Failing which, it will be time for Bersih 3.0. And this time, make sure there are at least two million people on the streets.

My friend and I (between 21-24 in age) just registered as voters because we know the importance of votes after Bersih 2.0. And this is happening everywhere in Malaysia.
