EO detainee: SB officers failed to brainwash me

JBGuy: Choo Chon Kai, I do admire your resolve and principles. I wish more politicians have PSM members' attitude towards helping the rakyat irrespective of whether they benefit or not.

Reading this article, I understand that most of the PSM office bearers have sacrificed a lot in their efforts to better the rakyat's life. My sincere and heartfelt wishes of success for all of you out there who try to make a difference even at great peril to your life and liberty.

Joe Lee: Bravo, Chon Kai. You are spot on about 'foolish people'. Malaysia needs a lot more foolish people - like those who march for Bersih on July 9.

Instead of 50,000 people, though, imagine there being 500,000 people. With 500,000 people, we would achieve people's power and begin to erase corruption and abuse, start the process of uniting all the people of Malaysia instead of the evil divide-and-rule tactics of the current leaders.

Lexicon: If Choo Chon Kai is foolish, then none of us is wise. Chon Kai, his mother, and the others in EO 6 and their families, are heroes to the rest of us.

I'm glad the Special Branch (SB) couldn't brainwash him - I hope he brainwashed the SBs instead, to persuade them to turn into proper professional police officers instead of chasing shadows.

Gen2indian: Choo, if Malaysia needs a thousand 'foolish' people to wash away the madness that is Malaysia, then count me in the ‘foolish' category. The EO6 have shown us mere mortals what belief and sacrifice mean.

My Indian brethren in MIC are at this moment gathered in Putrajaya hoping the Umno master will throw some scraps in their direction in return for votes. You are the real heroes and leaders.

Ferd Tan: Choo, by not abandoning your struggle, inspite of your horrendous time in detention, makes you a real hero.

Many able persons due to pressure from family and fear of being locked up would have been deterred from continuing the fight. You, together with the other five PSM members, have earned your stripes.

I have a feeling that the SB themselves don't like their bosses' actions, and many of them are fed up with their bosses' stupidity. They are human, too.

Patriot: The body may be broken, but not the spirit. The government fears its own shadows and believes danger lurks in every corner. BN wants to retain power at all costs and will not hesitate to ruin the country in order to do it.

Quigonbond: It's interesting to note that at the beginning of Bersih 2.0 police dragnet, they decided to go after relatively small fishes in PSM in the hopes of striking fear in the rest of the folks while at the same time don't trigger an all-out condemnation.

Now, the whole of Malaysia knows what PSM and Dr Michael D Jeyakumar stand for. More than that, people know some of the people in the central committee, too.

Unbeknownst to PM Najib Razak and Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, and now probably too late, they have just created another enemy to take on in the coming general election.


Sarasvathy: I could have died in detention

Karma: Wow, I have been to Hanoi once and many times to Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai for vacation. If I am caught, I believe they would have questioned me on whether during those overseas visits I have met any foreign government leaders to discuss waging wars against the king in Malaysia.

I have been Tokyo too. Would the police asked me if there is any talk on reviving Japan's intention to take over Malaysia again. Having read Utusan Malaysia's on Christianity and Jewish conspiracies, anything can happen.

Anonymous_4056: M Sarasvathy, we humbly salute you. The entire nation of Malaysia stand in awe of your sacrifice. Keep up the good work, God will bless and strengthen you against the forces of darkness, and their downfall is nigh.

Lexicon: Sarasvathy has worked hard for Malaysian women on issues of domestic violence, rape and gender discrimination. She has been a strong woman. She is a fine role model for Malaysian women and she has put both the police and the Home Ministry to shame.

AnakPinang: Such courage, even in times of personal hardship, is awe inspiring. Thank you for your sacrifice. It's terrible that the police and SB resort to the victimisation of the very people they are supposed to protect in order to please their Umno-BN masters.
