your say'It was MACC's zeal to please their political masters which had ultimately led to political aide Teoh Beng Hock's death.'

RCI: Teoh Beng Hock committed suicide

Not Convinced: The RCI did not get it - it is not so much that MACC's questioning and interrogation procedures should be improved, it is that the commission takes orders from the powers-that-be to nail their political enemies, in this case, the opposition politicians.

It was MACC's zeal to please their political masters which had ultimately led to Teoh Beng Hock's death.

Artchan: If investigating such a small amount of money can lead MACC ‘pushing' Teoh to commit suicide, then why wasn't former Selangor menteri besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo and many others implicated in massive corruption thrown out from the MACC building?

Pemerhati: When the members of the royal commission were first announced there was a lot of criticism because it did not have any members well-known for their integrity and independence, such as former Court of Appeal justice NH Chan.

One of the judges in the commission proved his loyalty to BN when he gave a judgment in favour of BN during the Perak constitutional crisis case. Another judge in the commission proved his loyalty to Dr Mahathir Mohamad and BN by actively assisting the attorney-general during the lord president Salleh Abas' tribunal hearings.

One of the pathologists in the commission was roped in by the Health Ministry director-general with other pathologists, to discredit the findings of another pathologist which showed that A Kugan died of police beatings. The commission's findings are thus likely to be suspect and will have no credibility.

MACC was being used by BN to destabilise the Selangor government and hence BN is protecting the wrongdoers by getting its lackeys in the commission to come out with a suicide finding to protect the killers.

Anonymous_5fb: Both the Inquest and RCI did not deny, at all material time, TBH was in the custody of MACC before his death.

This alone is enough to hold MACC responsible for the death of TBH, irrespective of how TBH ended up a dead body at the fifth floor of that building.

What I can conclude from both inquest and RCI is that the MACC officers involved fear their political masters more than Allah or whatever almighty God, and they have no decency or conscience left in them.

The whole MACC should be disbanded if things of such magnitude occurs in other civilised country. This is not going to happen in Malaysia so long as Umno is in power.

Cocomomo: Even if the findings are true, would it still not be murder (maybe second degree) as Teoh was effectively forced into a state of mind that became suicidal?

Anonymous11: They must have been scheming at it for days to work out a way so that the result as close as possible to the original frame of reference proposed by the PM Najib Abdul Razak.

MACC's interrogating procedures are to be blamed, but none in MACC will have to bear responsibility for the murder. Stick to suicide, so that they can still use it to fool the more gullible in the next general election.

If they had wanted to get to the truth, they would have engaged in a real independent committee made up of people who have no interest whatsoever with those in power. Shame on the government.

My sympathy goes to Teoh's family, especially the widowed wife and his orphaned son. As a citizen of this country with no power nor influence, the only support I can give is my vote against this rotten BN administration, put in more effort to educate people around me, and hope they will spread the sense of justice to those in rural areas.

Onyourtoes: The reasoning of RCI is oxymoron. First, they said MACC officers are compulsive liars. If that is the case, why believe their account of the final hours of TBH, including he was released at 3am and left on his own.

If these MACC officers are liars, why can't more vigorous and aggressive interrogation techniques be used to extract the truth. Make them subject to the same treatment as TBH and I am sure the truth will prevail very fast.

Ethnicmalaysian: Teoh a ‘weak character'? Quite the contrary, he did not break despite 'harsh' and extreme questioning bordering on mental torture. He did not sign a false confession implicating his boss in corruption.

And it's because of his strong character that the MACC goons had no choice but to commit manslaughter in order to try to break him.

We can't possibly have a homicide verdict - that would have exposed the whole can of worms as to who masterminded the whole operation, which could be up to the highest levels of Umno.

Anonymous: Let's call this extreme form of "interrogation" for what it really is - torture. Nazri Aziz is smiling because he's relieved that the report managed to hide the ugly details, but give enough to placate the population at large.

And let this be a lesson to all the idiots who are executing the orders of the powers-that-be - you are all the small fishes that are left to hang high and dry when it all comes crashing down.

Your masters will always be free to go home to their families. Think about that before you blindly follow stupid orders.

Tailek: We may never get to the truth of Teoh Beng Hock's death but at least the RCI has exposed the whole bunch of bastards at the Selangor MACC who think they are above the law.

The three main culprits should be charged at the very least for the unlawful killing of TBH and the rest of those lying bastards at the Selangor MACC should all be sacked without pensions.

Let's see what the PM and AG will do about this. If they do nothing, the rakyat will not take it lying down.
