The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is to study the report of the royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into the death of political aide Teoh Beng Hock and take the appropriate action on the recommendations of the RCI.  

The MACC said in a statement today it would discharge the responsibility entrusted to it in eradicating corruption and ensuring that the National Key Result Areas (NKRA) objectives were realised in the interests of the people and country.

“The MACC is committed and had extended full cooperation to the RCI during the investigation and will openly accept the decisions,” it said.

The RCI released its 124-page report on the investigation into the death of Teoh, the political secretary of Selangor state executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah, who was found dead on the fifth floor corridor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam, Selangor, on July 16, 2009, after giving a statement at the Selangor MACC office located on the 14th floor of the same building.
