The air quality in 27 areas nationwide was reported to be moderate this morning, the Department of Environment said.

Among areas reporting moderate air quality were Seri Manjung, Perak, with an air pollutant index (API) of 88, Kuala Selangor (81) and Bukit Rambai, Malacca (63).

The air quality in 24 other areas was good.

An API of between 0-50 is considered healthy, 51-100 (moderate), 101-200 (unhealthy), 201-300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous).
